The PTA undertakes fundraising activities in order to fund student enrichment programs, show appreciation for our teachers, offer financial help for students in need, and to support the learning environment at Mitchell.
Direct Donation Campaign
The main fundraising activity each year for the Mitchell PTA is a direct donation campaign. Over the years the PTA found that other fundraising events required hours of volunteer time and a percentage of the money lost to fundraising companies. Direct donations are tax deductible and 100% of the money goes to support Mitchell programs and the school.
Please consider a donation in any amount to support the programming, students, teachers and school. Donations are accepted at any time and can be submitted online or print this form and bring it in to the school.
Other Fundraising Activities
Barnes & Noble Night: A fun night at B&N with student performances. Barnes & Noble donates a percentage of sales from that day to the PTA.
Box Tops and Labels for Education: These national programs provide money to the PTA for all labels collected and submitted.
Original Works: This art program turns students’ works into professionally made products perfect for gifts and mementos just in time for Holiday giving.
1. Fundraising is not a primary part of the PTA mission.
2. PTA raises funds to enhance the education of our children.
3. PTA advocates for adequate funding for our schools from those governmental bodies that have the legal responsibility of meeting those needs (county school board, state legislature, and federal legislature).
