We Need You! ~ Vol­un­teer Oppor­tu­ni­ties for 2011 –2012

We encour­age you to get involved with Mitchell by vol­un­teer­ing your time for some upcom­ing school events!

The Mitchell PTA is a par­ent dri­ven vol­un­teer orga­ni­za­tion ded­i­cated to the social and aca­d­e­mic enrich­ment of all stu­dents, fam­i­lies and staff at Mitchell Ele­men­tary. We are cur­rently look­ing for vol­un­teers to help with the amaz­ing activ­i­ties and events sched­uled this Winter/Spring.

There are a lot of great upcom­ing activ­i­ties at Mitchell that need vol­un­teer sup­port. With var­i­ous days and times avail­able, con­sider sign­ing up to vol­un­teer for sev­eral of the fol­low­ing activities!

2012 Barnes & Noble Book­fair — Wednes­day, March 7, 2012

We are look­ing for vol­un­teers to help at this fun fam­ily event where a per­cent­age of all pur­chases will ben­e­fit the Mitchell PTA! With your help, the Barnes & Noble Book­fair will be a huge suc­cess, sup­port­ing PTA programs.

slots are available from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm.

Vol­un­teers will check in stu­dents for the class con­test, pro­vide stick­ers to iden­tify Mitchell book­fair sup­port­ers, encour­age teacher “Wish List” pur­chases and help with gen­eral event logis­tics.  We espe­cially need your help after school from 3:00 pm — 8:00 pm when the book­fair is busiest with shop­ping students/family/friends and per­for­mances in the B&N Cafe.

Get­ting Involved — Seek­ing PTA Chair/Co-Chair Posi­tions for 2012–2013

Get involved in the Mitchell PTA next school year by tak­ing on a PTA Chair/Co-Chair posi­tion.  Open posi­tions can be viewed on the attached (Posi­tions for 2012 updated 2.14.12).  With a vari­ety of posi­tions and com­mit­ment lev­els, you can cer­tainly find an oppor­tu­nity that fits your sched­ule.  Vol­un­teer now and you can “shadow” the cur­rent Chair/Co-Chair and learn the ropes.
